Role Overview The SAP HCM Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Human Capital Management solutions across business processes. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand HR requirements, configure SAP HCM modules, and ensure successful delivery of implementation and enhancement initiatives. This role requires a functional expert with strong domain knowledge in HR processes, hands-on SAP HCM configuration expertise, and the ability to work in structured project environments. Project Delivery & Execution
• Participate in end-to-end SAP HCM implementations, rollouts, and support engagements.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to HR processes such as organizational management, personnel administration, payroll, time management, and talent management.
• Configure SAP HCM modules in line with business requirements and best practices.
• Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and integrations.
• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
• Assist in data migration, cutover planning,



and go-live activities. Delivery Governance, Controls & Assurance
• Follow SAP Activate / ASAP / Agile methodologies depending on project requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation including business blueprints, configuration documents, and test cases.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and delivery processes.
• Track issues, risks, and dependencies and support timely resolution. Client & Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with business stakeholders, HR teams, and IT teams to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution demonstrations.
• Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and deliverables.
• Ensure stakeholder satisfaction through effective communication and delivery quality. Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
• Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams including technical, basis, and integration teams.
• Support junior consultants and contribute to team capability building.
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and process improvements. Reporting, Tools & Delivery Insights
• Maintain documentation and reporting using MS Office tools.




• Track project deliverables and status through project governance tools.
• Provide accurate and timely updates to project leads and stakeholders. Key Skills & Experience
• 6–8 years of overall experience with strong focus on SAP HCM implementations and support.
• Hands-on experience in key SAP HCM modules such as:
• Organizational Management (OM)
• Personnel Administration (PA)
• Time Management (TM)
• Payroll (preferred)
• Experience in end-to-end implementation cycles and support projects.
• Robust understanding of HR business processes and compliance requirements.
• Experience in writing functional specifications and working with ABAP teams.
• Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors integration is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related discipline. Certifications Must Have:
• SAP HCM Certification (preferred but not mandatory) Good to Have:
• SAP SuccessFactors certification
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies Soft Skills & Behavioural Competencies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
