Role Description The Resident Host is a full-time, on-site role based at Sirobadi House in Kotdwara. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-in and check-out, and serving as the primary point of contact throughout each stay. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating room readiness, overseeing dining experiences, assisting with local recommendations, and ensuring that guest requests are handled promptly and thoughtfully.



The Resident Host will help supervise daily operations, support the food and beverage service, and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. The role also involves managing guest feedback, assisting with basic administrative tasks, and collaborating with the wider team to uphold the retreat’s calm, discreet atmosphere. Qualifications An Ideal person would be
- An existing manager of a small villa, lodge, boutique hotel or guest house, accustomed to managing with a small team. Experience working in remote or hill properties, where staffing, supplies and maintenance require initiative.
• Strong Communication skills, including transparent spoken and written English and the ability to interact warmly and professionally with diverse guests.
• Proven Customer Service experience in hospitality or a related field, with a focus on personalized, discreet, and guest-centered service.
• Experience with Training or mentoring team members to maintain consistent service standards and operating procedures.
• Hands-on familiarity with Food & Beverage service, including basic service etiquette and coordination with kitchen staff.
• Basic Sales skills, such as gently promoting in-house experiences, add-on services, and extended stays when appropriate.
• Ability to live on site at the House.
• Prior experience in boutique hotels, retreats, or homestays is preferred; knowledge of Uttarakhand or nearby regions is an advantage.
