Overview The Ward Assistant supports the smooth operation of patient wards by maintaining cleanliness, ensuring proper laundry handling, and providing a secure, hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting of ward areas.
• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces following hospital infection‑control protocols.
• Manage dry‑cleaning and laundry processes for patient linens, staff uniforms, and related textiles.
• Ensure toilets and washrooms are kept spotless, stocked with supplies, and fully functional.
• Remove waste and hazardous materials in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Report maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the ward supervisor promptly.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of ward equipment for special procedures or emergencies.
• Follow all hospital policies on confidentiality, patient privacy, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Requirements

Experience:
1–8 years in housekeeping, custodial services,



or a similar role within a healthcare or hospitality setting.
