About Us
Rational Systems is a Delhi NCR-based IT infrastructure and managed wireless network company with around 30 years of experience. We design, deploy and manage IT environments for businesses across engineering, manufacturing and services. Role Summary We are looking for a hands-on IT Infrastructure Engineer to deploy and manage high-performance engineering IT environments. This includes CAD workstations, an on-premise PDM server, 10GbE networking, hybrid backup and power infrastructure. You will be the technical owner of uptime, performance and data protection for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
• Deploy, configure and maintain high-end CAD workstations (SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA), including ISV-certified GPU drivers and performance tuning.
• Install and manage rackmount servers (Dell PowerEdge/HPE ProLiant) running Windows Server 2022, including RAID 1/10 configuration, BIOS/iDRAC/iLO and firmware updates.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and file permissions.
• Support SolidWorks PDM or Autodesk Vault installations and the network licence manager.
• Configure managed switches (10GbE/2.5GbE), VLANs and LACP link aggregation. Oversee Cat6A cabling and certification.
• Implement and monitor the 3-2-1 backup strategy using NAS snapshots, Veeam or MSP360, and AWS S3/Azure Blob with immutability and lifecycle policies.
• Run regular restore tests and maintain the disaster recovery plan.
• Manage server-room power and setting: rack layout,



UPS configuration, graceful shutdown policies and monitoring.
• Provide L2/L3 support, maintain asset records and documentation, and meet SLA response times.
• Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs and vendors on warranty and escalations. Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory and virtualisation basics.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise servers, RAID and storage (NAS/SAN).
• Solid networking

skills:
managed switching, VLANs, LACP, firewalls and structured cabling.
• Experience with backup tools (Veeam, MSP360 or similar) and cloud storage (AWS S3 or Azure Blob).
• Working knowledge of workstation hardware troubleshooting and GPU driver management.
• Good documentation and client communication skills. Preferred
• Experience supporting CAD/PDM environments (SolidWorks PDM, Autodesk Vault).
• Certifications: CCNA, MCSA/Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Veeam VMCE, AWS Cloud Practitioner/SysOps.
• Experience with UPS and monitoring systems (SNMP, network management cards).
• Knowledge of EDR/antivirus and patch management.

Education:
B.
Tech/BE/Diploma in IT, Electronics or Computer Science (or equivalent experience). Compensation: ₹5,00,000 – ₹6,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and certifications (indicative; adjust to your budget).
