Senior MEP Procurement Manager M Moser Associates India is looking for an experienced Senior MEP Procurement Manager to lead procurement planning and delivery across our interior fit-out design and build projects. Job Overview Working with M Moser’s multidisciplinary teams of architects, designers, engineers and construction professionals, you will set procurement direction for complex MEP packages and help maintain a consistent, well-controlled approach across projects. You will lead key tenders and negotiations, guide project procurement teams, strengthen supplier performance and provide clear commercial visibility to project and business leaders. The role can be based in Bangalore or Mumbai. Your Responsibilities
• Set and oversee procurement strategies and plans across assigned projects, translating project pipeline, design maturity, budget, programme and market conditions into clear package priorities and tender timing.
• Lead procurement of major or technically complex MEP packages, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, controls and other building services scopes.
• Work with design, engineering, project and commercial leaders to review scope completeness, consultant estimates, package interfaces, long-lead requirements and market risks before tender.
• Establish consistent tender documentation, bid evaluation, negotiation and award practices, and ensure decisions are supported by a clear audit trail and appropriate approvals.
• Oversee tender analysis and award recommendations for high-value or high-risk packages, testing scope alignment, price reasonableness, qualifications, capacity, programme and delivery risk.
• Lead strategic negotiations with key contractors, suppliers and manufacturers, balancing cost, technical compliance, quality, programme and whole-project outcomes.
• Guide purchase order and subcontract formation, working with commercial and legal colleagues to address scope, payment, warranties,
securities, insurance, programme and change-control requirements.
• Monitor procurement performance across projects, including budget variance, committed cost, tender coverage, approval status, lead times, delivery risks and supplier performance; provide concise updates and escalate decisions required.
• Identify opportunities for value improvement, scope optimisation, responsible sourcing and supplier consolidation without compromising design intent, statutory requirements or project quality.
• Build and maintain a capable MEP supply chain through market mapping, vendor prequalification, performance feedback and development of alternative sources for critical packages.
• Coach and support Procurement Managers and project team members in tendering, bid analysis, negotiation, documentation and ethical procurement controls.
• Promote compliance with procurement procedures, delegated authority, conflict-of-interest requirements, confidentiality and anti-fraud and anti-bribery standards; address control gaps promptly.
• Work with commercial and project teams on cost forecasts, cashflow inputs, change control, final account close-out and the development of dependable procurement benchmarks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement tools, templates, reporting and lessons learned across the India business. Attitudes, Values and Characteristics You are a confident procurement leader with sound commercial judgement and robust technical curiosity. You can lead complex negotiations,
challenge incomplete scope or unsupported pricing, and make decisions transparently. You communicate directly, build trusted relationships across disciplines and suppliers, and develop others' capability while maintaining a high standard of integrity and accountability. Your Experience, Knowledge and Skills
• At least 8 years of relevant MEP procurement experience, preferably on commercial interior fit-out or design and build projects in India, including experience leading major packages or multiple project tenders.
• Demonstrated experience managing the full procurement cycle, from scope and market strategy through tender, evaluation, negotiation, award, expediting and close-out.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and package interfaces, tender risk, cost analysis, subcontract terms, supply-chain capacity and delivery constraints.
• Experience guiding or mentoring procurement professionals and coordinating decisions with design, engineering, project, commercial and legal stakeholders.
• Strong written and spoken English communication, negotiation and reporting skills. Additional Indian languages are an advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and procurement or project reporting systems, with the ability to maintain reliable and decision-ready data.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across projects and travel to project or supplier locations when required. Qualifications A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, is preferred. Other qualifications will be considered where supported by substantial relevant experience. M Moser Associates offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits and the opportunity to work with an international team delivering projects for global and Indian clients.
