Role Overview CTS Group is looking for a BIM Mechanical Modeler to support mechanical design and coordination for data center and mission-critical projects from the Mumbai engineering and design center. The role is responsible for developing accurate, clash-free mechanical Revit models covering HVAC, cooling, piping, plumbing and fire-fighting systems from concept through to as-built and fabrication stages, working closely with design engineers, the BIM Coordinator and the Chennai production team. This is a hands-on, discipline-specific modeling role that requires strong Revit MEP skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work to defined BIM standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities
BIM Modeling & Design Development
• Develop and maintain Revit MEP models from concept, IFC, fabrication, and as-built stages.
• Create and update Mechanical systems including:
• HVAC systems
• Chilled water and condenser water piping
• Ductwork




• Plumbing and drainage systems
• Fire protection systems
• Create and update Electrical systems including:
• MV/LV power distribution
• ELV systems
• Lighting and small power
• Earthing and lightning protection
• Cable containment systems
• Model equipment based on engineering design inputs, P&IDs;, and single-line diagrams. Model and coordinate:
• Mechanical equipment such as chillers, CRAHs/CRACs, CDUs, pumps, AHUs, cooling systems, and associated piping/ductwork.
• Electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, LV panels, UPS systems, generators, busbar trunking, cable trays, and containment systems. Coordination & Clash Resolution
• Coordinate models with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Attend coordination meetings and document agreed resolutions.
• Respond to RFIs and incorporate design revisions and site feedback promptly. Documentation & Deliverables
• Produce drawings, schedules, and quantity take-offs directly from BIM models.
• Apply project-specific BIM standards, naming conventions, parameters, and family management practices.
• Maintain organized project documentation within the Common Data Setting (CDE).
• Support as-built model updates using site surveys or scan data. Modular & Prefabrication Support
• Collaborate with Chennai engineering and production teams for modular and prefabricated solutions.
• Develop LOD 400/fabrication-level models supporting:
• Cooling skids
• Pipe racks
• EPODs
• Power skids
• Other prefabricated MEP assemblies
• Generate fabrication-ready models and spooling documentation where required.



Project Collaboration
• Support international projects across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and other regions.
• Work effectively across multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
• Participate in coordination activities across multiple time zones when necessary. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in:
• Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+years of BIM modeling experience in MEP projects.
• Exposure to data centers, mission-critical facilities, or industrial infrastructure projects preferred. Technical Skills Software

• Experience with LOD 400 fabrication modeling.
• Knowledge of Revit Fabrication Parts and spooling workflows.
• Experience with modular or prefabricated MEP assemblies.
• Dynamo scripting experience.
