About the Role
Skedara Technology is looking for a Leadl Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of up-to-date data platforms for a large global enterprise client. You will set the direction for data architecture and strategy, stay hands-on with delivery, and guide a team of data engineers. You will also work closely with business stakeholders to help them get more value from their data.

Key Responsibilities
• Design data foundations, data platforms and end-to-end data solutions that deliver measurable business value
• Help define the data vision and strategy, and act as a subject-matter expert and thought partner to technology and business leaders
• Lead technical delivery hands-on and mentor data engineers
• Build a data-driven culture beyond the IT team by working with business stakeholders
• Improve delivery speed, cost and quality across pilots and new projects
• Run change management, incident management and problem management processes
• Build Communities of Practice and Centres of Excellence,



and lead technical trainings and knowledge-sharing sessions Required Skills and Experience
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with recent work in a lead or principal role
• Expert-level knowledge of at least two of these: Microsoft Azure, AWS, SAP
• Expert-level skills in ELT, data modelling, and data integration and ingestion
• Strong skills in data manipulation and processing
• Hands-on experience with some of these tools: Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL DB, Synapse Analytics, Stream Analytics, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, Kinesis, Redshift
• Experience with CI/CD and code quality using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, SonarQube and PyTest
• Clear communication with both technical teams and business managers
• A solid understanding of how people, process, data and technology fit together to drive change Good to Have
• Project management experience, or experience running a Scrum team
• Experience leading small teams
• Experience working with external technology partners
