Role Description The Quality Manager will oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing operations. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems aligned with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager will lead inspection and testing processes, manage audits, and mentor the quality team to achieve organizational objectives. Key Objective To ensure effective implementation of AS9100D requirements, achieve zero-defect manufacturing wherever practicable, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain consistent product quality across all manufacturing operations. Location Aerospace Park, Devanahalli, Bengaluru, India Responsibilities 1. Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100D requirements. 2. Ensure compliance with customer-specific, statutory, regulatory, and aerospace industry quality requirements. 3. Monitor and control incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final product inspection. 4. Implement First Article Inspection (FAI) as per AS9102, wherever applicable. 5. Ensure proper material identification, product traceability, and configuration management. 6. Manage supplier evaluation, approval,



audits, and supplier quality performance. 7. Handle customer complaints, quality issues, non-conformities, and corrective/preventive actions. 8. Conduct root cause analysis and ensure effective implementation of corrective actions. 9. Plan and conduct internal audits; coordinate external certification and customer audits. 10. Control special processes, product safety, counterfeit parts prevention, and FOD prevention. 11. Monitor rejection, rework, scrap, and customer complaint trends; implement improvement plans. 12. Prepare and monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and performance reports. 13. Collaborate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Design, and Engineering departments to resolve quality related issues. 14. Identify employee training requirements and ensure quality awareness and competency. 15. Prepare and maintain quality manuals, procedures, inspection reports, and documentation. 16. Participate in management review meetings and drive continual improvement initiatives. 17. Lead and guide the QA/QC team to achieve organizational quality objectives. Required Experience & Competencies 1. Bachelor’s degree (BE/BTech) in Mechanical, Production, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline. 2. 8-12 years of relevant experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing. 3. Strong expertise in AS9100D and ISO 9001 standards. 4. Experience with inspection methods, GD&T;, engineering drawings, and precision measurement tools. 5. Proficiency in CAPA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, SPC, and MSA. 6. Demonstrated leadership skills, analytical ability, and problem-solving expertise. 7. Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement. Preferred Certifications 1. AS9100D Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor certification. 2. ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification. 3. Relevant aerospace quality management training.
