We are looking for a skilled Furniture Designer with practical knowledge of furniture design, 2D/3D software, technical drawings, materials, upholstery and manufacturing processes. The candidate should be capable of converting design concepts into detailed production drawings and coordinating with site teams, carpenters, upholstery workers and machinery operators to ensure accurate and effective execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop customised furniture designs based on client requirements, site conditions and functional specifications.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SketchUp or other relevant design software.
- Conduct site visits, take measurements and prepare production-ready designs.
- Prepare detailed cutting lists, component-wise dimensions, material specifications and production drawings.
- Communicate technical drawings and cutting instructions clearly to machinery operators and carpenters.
- Have practical knowledge of plywood, MDF, HDHMR, solid wood, laminates, veneers, hardware and furniture fittings.
- Understand upholstery materials, including different types of foam, fabrics, leather, cushioning, stitching and sofa construction.
- Have knowledge of wooden frames, sofa structures, cushioning, upholstery techniques and finishing.




- Understand woodworking machinery, including CNC routers, panel saws, edge banding and drilling machines.
- Coordinate with carpenters, upholstery workers and production teams to ensure designs are executed accurately.
- Monitor production quality and minimise material wastage and rework. Required Skills & Software
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; knowledge of other 2D/3D furniture design software is an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of furniture materials, hardware, upholstery and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of woodworking machinery and production techniques.
- Ability to prepare accurate cutting lists and production-ready drawings.
- Ability to communicate designs clearly to carpenters, upholstery workers and machinery operators.
