- Chennai Location Rights & Permissions | Project Management Team 1. Permissions Specialist The Permissions Specialist will be responsible for securing permissions from copyright holders for the use of text, images, photographs, and other third-party content in publishing projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and contact copyright holders, publishers, authors, photographers, and other rights holders to obtain permissions.
- Manage proactive outreach and follow-ups to ensure permissions are secured within project deadlines.
- Negotiate licensing fees, usage terms, and other contractual requirements with vendors and rights holders.
- Review permission agreements, licenses, and related documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of permissions obtained in the permissions database.
- Track permission requests, approvals, restrictions, fees, and expiry dates.
- Coordinate with editorial, production, and project management teams to resolve permissions-related issues.
- Ensure all third-party content is appropriately cleared for publication. Required

Key Responsibilities

- Assist project managers in planning and coordinating project activities.
- Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Follow up with internal teams, freelancers,



and external vendors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain project trackers, schedules, reports, and documentation.
- Monitor project progress and highlight potential delays or challenges.
- Coordinate communication between editorial, design, production, and other teams.
- Support project managers in resolving day-to-day operational issues.
- Assist with project documentation and final project closure activities. Required

- Research and source appropriate photographs from stock image libraries based on project requirements.
- Carefully read and interpret image descriptions, captions, metadata, and accompanying text to identify relevant visuals.
- Match photographs with editorial content, themes, and creative briefs.
- Evaluate images for relevance, quality, accuracy, and suitability for publication.
- Identify appropriate stock images while considering licensing and usage restrictions.
- Maintain organized records of selected images, source details, credits, and licensing information.
- Coordinate with editorial, design, and permissions teams to ensure accurate image selection and usage.
