Senior F5 Network Engineer 1. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior F5 Network Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for application delivery across enterprise and data center environments. This is a hands-on technical role focused on F5 BIG-IP LTM, GTM, platform migrations, and TMOS upgrades . The ideal candidate must possess robust practical expertise and be capable of contributing independently at full capacity from day one, with minimal or no ramp-up time. 2.

Key Responsibilities
- F5 BIG-IP LTM: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot virtual servers, pools, iRules, profiles, and TLS/SSL offloading.
- F5 BIG-IP GTM (DNS): Administer Wide IPs, DNS configurations, and global traffic distribution.
- Platform Migrations: Plan and execute F5 migrations across hardware appliances and virtual editions.
- TMOS Upgrades: Lead upgrade activities, including pre
- and post-upgrade validation, rollback planning, and minimal-downtime cutovers.
- Traffic Management: Manage Layer 4–Layer 7 traffic and support underlying Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, OSPF, and BGP.
- Secure Connectivity: Support IPsec configurations and related connectivity requirements.
- Application Security: Support APM and ASM/Advanced WAF configurations as required.
- Documentation and Communication: Document technical changes, prepare implementation plans, and communicate effectively with engineering teams and business stakeholders. 3. Required Qualifications Candidates must demonstrate hands-on expertise in the following areas:
- F5 BIG-IP LTM: Virtual servers, pools, iRules, profiles, and TLS/SSL offloading.
- F5 BIG-IP GTM: DNS management, Wide IPs, and global traffic distribution.
- F5 Platform Migrations: Experience migrating across hardware and virtual editions.
- TMOS Upgrades: Proven ability to execute upgrades, perform pre




- and post-change validation, develop rollback plans, and deliver minimal-downtime cutovers.
- Day-One Readiness: Ability to operate independently as an SME from the outset, without requiring a ramp-up period. 4. Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall networking experience, with hands-on F5 expertise in enterprise and data center environments.
- Strong understanding of Layer 4–Layer 7 traffic management.
- Practical experience with IPsec and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, OSPF, and BGP.
