Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Lab Technician to join our team at Manipal Hospitals, Nagar Road. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and analyses on patient specimens.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Record and report test results accurately and promptly, following established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the laboratory setting.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Assist in inventory management of laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Participate in continuous education and training programs to stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Lab Technician in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using laboratory information systems and electronic medical records.
- Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes.
- Certification from a recognized medical technology board would be an advantage. Tools and Equipment Required:
- Laboratory analyzers and equipment (e.g., centrifuges, microscopes, spectrophotometers).
- PCs and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, masks, and lab coats.
- Basic laboratory supplies such as reagents, slides, and petri dishes.
