Position: Prouction/ Plant Manager

Location: East Africa

Experience: 12 - 20 years of experience in the Food & Beverage/Processed Food industry, with proven experience in independently managing a plant

Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical Engineering; MBA preferred.

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to independently lead and manage plant operations for processed food products including tomato sauce, puree, ketchup, tomato paste, jams, mayonnaise, and other fruit & vegetable-based products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end plant operations covering production, maintenance, quality, safety, logistics, and administrationDrive productivity, capacity utilization, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, statutory, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Plan and monitor production, budgets, KPIs, manpower, and resource utilization.
- Lead, train,



and develop teams while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence, production & formulations.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, QA/QC, R&D;, Engineering, and other functions.
- Ensure effective preventive maintenance and smooth functioning of plant equipment and utilities.
- Manage vendors, contractors, service agreements, and technical support.
- Lead new project implementation, plant expansion, line extensions, and process improvement initiatives.
- Robust expertise in plant administration, production management, project execution, capacity enhancement, and line extensions.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, cost-control, and team-management skills.
- Lead and manage all Fruits & Vegetable processing (Tomato sauce, Tomato ketchup, Tomato Paste, Jams, Mayonnaise etc) plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, safety, and logistics.
