Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant with hands-on experience in US Accounting to manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of US accounting practices, experience with financial reconciliations and reporting, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

The candidate must be comfortable working the designated night shift to support accounting operations aligned with US business hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoice processing, payment tracking, and outstanding balance follow-ups.
- Perform bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Maintain general ledger records and prepare journal entries as required.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Prepare financial statements,



accounting reports, and supporting schedules.
- Monitor business expenses, verify transactions, and ensure proper expense categorization.
- Track cash flow and support budgeting and financial analysis activities.
- Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with applicable US accounting practices and GAAP principles.
- Assist with audit preparation, tax documentation, and financial compliance requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain organized documentation and implement processes to improve accounting accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Prior professional experience in US Accounting is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of US accounting practices and fundamental GAAP principles.
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
- Experience preparing financial reports and supporting month-end closing activities.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel,



including financial data management and reporting.
- Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively with a remote team.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with US-based companies or clients.
- Familiarity with US tax documentation and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience in eCommerce, online retail, or multi-brand business environments.
- Exposure to high-volume financial transactions and multiple accounting workflows.
- Ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements to accounting operations.
