Job Summary

Role Summary: Designs, develops, tests, and maintains business applications for Aon's global technology function, delivering high-quality, secure, and maintainable software aligned with functional and technical requirements across markets.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and unit-test application code based on business and technical requirements
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, support
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following coding standards and best practices
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality releases via CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects and production issues
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices
- Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party services
- Stay current with relevant frameworks, languages, and development tools





Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of application development experience in relevant languages/frameworks
- Experience with modern development practices: version control (Git), CI/CD, Agile/Scrum
- Cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus

Technical Skills

- Programming languages: Java, C#/.NET, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript (per stack)
- Web frameworks: Spring Boot, .NET Core, React/Angular, Node.js (as applicable)
- Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and/or NoSQL
- Version control and CI/CD: Git, Jenkins/GitLab CI/Azure DevOps
- API development and integration: REST, JSON
- Testing frameworks and practices (unit, integration testing)
