Role Description The Unit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Perinthalmanna, Malappuram District responsible for leading and managing a sales unit to achieve defined business targets. The role includes recruiting, mentoring, and developing a team of insurance advisors or sales professionals, providing regular coaching, and monitoring performance.

The Unit

Manager will plan and execute sales activities, drive penetration of life insurance products, and ensure high-quality customer interactions and service. Daily responsibilities involve analyzing sales data, forecasting, coordinating with internal stakeholders,



and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The role also requires maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners, promoting ICICI Life’s product portfolio, and upholding the company’s values and standards in every interaction.

Qualifications

- Robust sales and business development skills, including target achievement, pipeline management, and relationship-building.
- Team leadership and people management abilities, with experience in mentoring, performance monitoring, and motivating diverse teams.
- Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial products clearly and handle customer queries effectively.
- Basic analytical and planning capabilities, including comfort with sales reports, forecasting, and market insights.
- Understanding of life insurance or financial services concepts; prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial products is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification in business, finance, or related fields is an advantage.
- Proficiency in local language and English, and familiarity with standard office and CRM tools.
- Ethical conduct, resilience under pressure, and willingness to work on-site in Kochi and travel locally as needed.
