TECHNICAL AUTHOR – COORDINATOR

CORE REQUIREMENTS

- Education: Graduate Engineer – Mechanical / Electronics / Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
- Experience: 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Global Exposure: Experience working in a multinational/global engineering setting, with exposure to global stakeholder management.
- Authoring Expertise: Strong experience in technical authoring / customer-facing technical documentation.
- Manual Creation: H&s-on; experience in creating technical documentation like manuals related to engineered products.
- Cross-Functional Synthesis: Proven ability to interpret technical information from engineering, product management & test activities.
- Execution Discipline: Ability to deliver coordinated documentation outputs to agreed priorities & timelines.
- Systematic Approach: Systematic approach to authoring, task coordination, change control & consistency.

GOOD TO HAVE

- Experience in creating technical documentation standards & templates.
- Experience in using MadCap Flare / Adobe is preferred.
- Experience in using PTC Creo Illustrator / Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator to create & edit images.
- Experience in language translation will be an added advantage.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

- Create,



update & maintain customer-facing technical documentation using WMFTS standards & structured authoring practices.
- Apply controlled terminology & Simplified Technical English principles.
- Source & interpret technical information from engineering, product management & test activities.
- Coordinate Technical Communications work in the India Hub- workload planning, progress tracking & reporting.
- Coordinate h&-offs & feedback between India Hub resources & UK-based Technical Authors / Senior Technical Author.
- Prepare documentation for senior technical review & maintain traceability, version control & approval workflow.
- Support continuous improvement in coordination efficiency, task definition & delivery consistency.

- Technical Communications Manager & Senior Technical Author.
- UK-based Technical Authors & India Hub Technical Authors/publishing resources.
- Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Compliance & third-party translation/localisation partners.
