We're Hiring | Automotive Switch Design Engineer | Chennai

We are looking for a talented Automotive Switch Design Engineer with experience in Electrical/Electronic commodities and switch development for automotive applications.

Location: Chennai

Experience: 3-5 Years

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Develop automotive switches in collaboration with suppliers as per project requirements

✅ Prepare technical definitions and specifications for automotive switches

✅ Follow OEM standards for switch development and validation

✅ Perform validation activities and ensure compliance with project requirements

✅ Prepare Switch BOMs for cost estimation and support localization/cost reduction initiatives

✅ Conduct CAD reviews and prepare engineering drawings

✅ Analyze switch failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions

✅ Support VA/VE activities and cost optimization projects

Required Skills:

✔ Experience in Electrical/Electronic Commodity Design involving digital and physical architecture

✔ Knowledge of Plastic Parts, Injection Molding, Coating,



and Printing Processes

✔ Solid hands-on experience with UG NX CAD and Teamcenter

✔ Good understanding of GD&T; and Stack-up Analysis

✔ Experience in Automotive Switch Development

✔ Knowledge of Switch Electrical Circuits and Electrical Systems

✔ Experience in Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and Countermeasure Reports

✔ Understanding of Automotive Product Development Processes

Preferred Experience:

✅ OEM/Tier-1 Automotive Experience

✅ Localization, Cost Reduction, VA/VE Projects

✅ Cross-functional coordination with suppliers and engineering teams
