Sr. AWS Administrator

Purpose of the Position: To provide strategic leadership and technical ownership for AWS cloud infrastructure, architecture, automation, security, and DevOps transformation initiatives. The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud platforms while acting as the technical advisor to clients, mentoring engineering teams, and driving cloud best practices across the organization.

Key Result Areas and Activities:

- Lead AWS infrastructure architecture, delivery, and operational excellence.
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) solutions.
- Define, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.
- Architect cloud networking and security solutions including VPCs, Security Groups, NACLs, routing, and firewalls.
- Drive cloud reliability, scalability, governance, and cost optimization.
- Serve as the technical lead for cloud strategy and client engagements.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex cloud infrastructure challenges.
- Develop architecture standards, technical documentation, and best practices.

Work and Technical Experience:

Must-Have:

- 9+ years of IT experience with strong AWS Infrastructure, Cloud Architecture,



or DevOps expertise.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture design.
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong knowledge of Git-based workflows and version control practices.
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of networking, security groups, NACLs, routing, VPNs, and firewall concepts.
- Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.
- Strong cloud security, governance, and operational best practices knowledge.
- Experience leading technical discussions, client engagements, and architecture reviews.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and solve complex technical problems independently.

Good-to-have:

- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container platforms.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience with Python or Shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Azure or GCP.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and governance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 9+ years of IT experience with strong AWS Infrastructure, Cloud Architecture, or DevOps expertise.
- AWS Solution Architect or AWS DevOps certifications preferred.
- Terraform or Kubernetes certifications are an added advantage.
