Role Description The Social Work Volunteer role is an on-site position based in Bhopal, supporting community outreach and program delivery across education, skill development, health awareness, women’s empowerment, and rural development initiatives. Volunteers may assist with organizing workshops, facilitating group activities, helping with basic documentation, and engaging with community members to understand their needs and connect them with relevant programs. Day-to-day tasks can include supporting field visits, coordinating with local partners, helping prepare learning materials, and raising awareness about foundation activities.





This is a volunteer role, and individuals are expected to collaborate closely with the SHIVAUMEED-FOUNDATION team to ensure respectful, inclusive, and impact-driven service to the community.

Qualifications

- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse community members, including active listening and basic counseling or support skills.
- Interest in social work, community development, education, health awareness, women’s empowerment, and rural upliftment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with individuals and groups.
- Organizational and coordination skills to help plan activities, manage time, and support events or workshops in office.
- Willingness to work on the ground in Bhopal, including visiting communities and participating in field-based initiatives.
- Reliability, integrity, and a commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory, and inclusive volunteer service.
- Basic knowledge of Hindi and/or local languages and familiarity with the local context is beneficial.
- Prior experience in volunteering, social work, or community engagement is an advantage but not mandatory; students and early-career individuals are welcome to apply.
