Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022)
- Performance tuning: indexing, query optimization, execution plans
- Design and manage backup, restore, and DR strategies
- Implement and support HA: Always On AGs, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication
- Manage database security, access control, and audit compliance
- Plan and execute patching, upgrades, and migrations
- Incident management, RCA, and SLA adherence for 24x7 production systems
- Automate routine tasks (T-SQL, PowerShell) and maintain documentation

- Required Skills

- Robust hands-on SQL Server administration in large production environments
- Expertise in HA/DR and backup/recovery
- Advanced T-SQL, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and VMware

- Good to Have

- SSIS/SSRS/SSAS exposure
- Azure SQL / AWS RDS; Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA / Azure DBA Associate)
- Experience with shift or on-call support
