1. Job Purpose To provide comprehensive clinical care to patients in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, assist in managing obstetric and gynaecological emergencies, participate in academic activities and ensure quality patient care in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.

2. Qualification & Eligibility

- MD/MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from an NMC-recognized medical institution.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission / respective State Medical Council.
- Candidates must fulfil applicable NMC and institutional eligibility criteria for Senior Resident appointments.

3. Roles & Responsibilities A. Clinical Responsibilities

- Provide consultation and treatment to patients in the OBGY OPD and IPD.
- Manage antenatal, postnatal and high-risk pregnancy cases.




- Conduct normal deliveries and assist in operative deliveries.
- Assist in Caesarean sections and other gynaecological surgical procedures.
- Manage obstetric and gynaecological emergencies.
- Monitor patients in the labour room and post-operative wards.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient records and treatment plans.

B. Hospital Responsibilities

- Participate in duty rosters, emergency duties and night shifts.
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff and other departments.
- Ensure patient safety and infection control practices.
- Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
- Follow hospital policies, protocols and clinical guidelines.

C. Academic Responsibilities

- Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching activities, as applicable.
- Assist in clinical demonstrations, case presentations and seminars.
- Participate in departmental meetings and academic discussions.
- Support medical students and junior residents in clinical learning.
- Participate in research and clinical audits as assigned.
