Silver Compass Capital

Mumbai

About Silver Compass. Silver Compass Capital is a Mumbai-based financial advisory and placement firm focused on structured finance, debt syndication and investment banking. We help issuers raise debt and help investors access well-structured fixed-income opportunities.

The role. We are hiring a placement professional to build and manage relationships with corporate treasuries and family offices, and to place Commercial Paper (CP) and Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) with them. You will own the investor side of our debt placements: sourcing, pitching, closing and servicing. This is a revenue-facing role with direct visibility to the founder.

Key Responsibilities:

Investor coverage (corporates and family offices)

- Build and maintain a coverage list of corporate treasuries, family offices, HNI investment offices and private wealth desks that invest surplus funds in short- and medium-term debt.
- Understand each investor's mandate: ticket size, tenor, rating floor, sector limits, secured/unsecured appetite, listed/unlisted preference and yield expectations.
- Run regular investor meetings and calls; be the single point of contact for Silver Compass deals.

Placement and execution

- Pitch CP and NCD issuances (primary and secondary) from NBFCs, HFCs, corporates and other issuers to matched investors.
- Prepare and present deal notes, credit summaries, term sheets and IM highlights tailored to each investor.
- Run the book: collect indications, negotiate pricing and allocation, and drive commitments to close within issue timelines.
- Coordinate with issuers, debenture trustees, RTAs,

depositories and the internal team on documentation, KYC, EBP bidding (where applicable) and settlement.

Market intelligence

- Track CP and corporate bond yields, spreads, rating actions, money-market liquidity and RBI/SEBI regulatory changes.
- Share a periodic market update with investors and the internal team.
- Feed investor demand back to the origination team to shape deal structures and pricing.

Business development and reporting

- Grow the investor base each quarter through referrals, events, CA/wealth networks and direct outreach.
- Maintain the CRM and investor database; report pipeline, placements and fees weekly.
- Support post-placement servicing: coupon/redemption reminders, rollovers of maturing CPs and reinvestment conversations.

Requirements:

Must have

- 4–8 years in fixed-income sales, debt capital markets, treasury/corporate banking, wealth management (fixed-income desk) or a bond-broking firm.
- An existing network among corporate treasurers, CFOs and family-office CIOs in Mumbai and other metros.
- Working knowledge of CP and NCD mechanics: ratings, tenors, yields and YTM, secured vs unsecured, listed vs private placement, EBP, ISIN creation, settlement and trustee roles.

- Ability to read a credit rating rationale and an issuer's financials, and explain the risk–return to an investor in plain terms.
- Solid presentation, negotiation and written communication in English; Hindi/Gujarati/Marathi a plus.

Good to have

- Track record of closing placements with named investor categories (please quantify in your application).
- Relevant NISM certifications; CA, CFA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with SEBI's NCD and online bond platform regulations and RBI's CP directions.
- Comfort with Excel, CRM tools and Bloomberg/CCIL/NSE-BSE debt data.

Who will do well here

- Self-starter who enjoys owning relationships and revenue in a lean, fast-moving team.
- Disciplined on follow-ups and investor service, not just the first pitch.
- High integrity in handling client information and conflicts of interest.

How success is measured:

- Placement volume: Value of CP/NCD placed per quarter (₹ crore)
- Investor base: New active corporates and family offices onboarded per quarter
- Repeat business: Share of investors who participate in 2+ deals a year; CP rollover rate
- Fee revenue: Placement fees attributable to the role
- Pipeline hygiene: CRM up to date; weekly pipeline report on time

Compensation and how to apply:

- Fixed salary plus a performance-linked incentive on placements, commensurate with experience.
- To apply, email your CV with a short note on the investors you cover and placements you have closed in the last two years to [email protected], with a subject line 'CP/NCD Placements - Your Name'
