Role Description The Senior Fundraiser role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mylapore. The role involves developing and executing fundraising strategies, including annual giving campaigns, major donor outreach, and corporate and institutional partnerships.

The Senior

Fundraiser will identify and research potential donors, prepare compelling proposals and presentations, and maintain long-term relationships with individual and institutional supporters. Daily responsibilities include managing fundraising events, coordinating with internal program teams to align messages with organizational priorities, and tracking fundraising performance against targets.



The role also includes preparing regular reports, ensuring accurate donor data management, and representing Sevalaya at meetings, events, and community forums to strengthen visibility and philanthropic support.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in fundraising and philanthropy, with a track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.
- Experience in annual giving and donor program management, including planning and executing campaigns.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse donors and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in research for identifying prospects, analyzing donor data, and understanding funding trends.
- Ability to develop clear proposals, presentations, and reports; strong written and spoken English skills.
- Experience working with CRM or donor management systems and basic proficiency in office productivity tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Development Studies, Communications, or Business; advanced degrees are an advantage.
- Prior experience in the nonprofit or social development sector and familiarity with the Indian philanthropic landscape is highly beneficial.
- Solid organizational skills, ethical conduct, and the ability to work collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.
