We are urgently looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer for a customer-facing technical leadership role involving on-premises Kubernetes infrastructure, database administration, infrastructure automation, and platform operations.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience managing on-premises / bare-metal Kubernetes clusters, along with PostgreSQL, Apache Cassandra, Linux administration, and team leadership.

? Mandatory Technical Skills 1. Kubernetes Administration

- Hands-on experience with on-premises / bare-metal Kubernetes clusters.
- kubeadm, RKE2, Rancher, or OpenShift.
- Cluster upgrades, node management, etcd backup and restoration.
- Troubleshooting pods, workloads, CrashLoopBackOff, OOMKilled, and node-level issues.

2. Kubernetes Networking & Storage

- Calico, Cilium, Flannel, CoreDNS, Ingress, Services, NetworkPolicies, MetalLB.
- PV/PVC, StorageClasses, CSI drivers.
- Ceph/Rook, Longhorn, NFS, or local persistent volumes.

3. Linux Administration & Networking

- RHEL / Rocky Linux / Ubuntu.
- System administration, patching, hardening, kernel tuning, and performance optimization.
- TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VLANs, firewalls, iptables/nftables.
- HAProxy, NGINX, and Keepalived.

4. Database Administration

- PostgreSQL: Installation, backup/restore, replication, HA, failover, and performance tuning.
- Apache Cassandra: Cluster setup, scaling, repairs, compaction, nodetool, and backup/restore.
- Experience managing databases on Kubernetes is highly preferred.

5. DevOps & Infrastructure Automation

- Docker / containerd, Helm, and Harbor.
- Ansible, Terraform, and Shell/Bash scripting.
- CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins,



GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or Loki.

? Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
- Own end-to-end platform deployment, stability, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operations.
- Manage PostgreSQL and Apache Cassandra production environments.
- Handle Kubernetes networking, storage, security, and infrastructure optimization.
- Conduct infrastructure sizing and capacity-planning discussions covering CPU, memory, storage, IOPS, and networking.
- Engage directly with customers to understand requirements and present technical architecture and solutions.
- Develop automation scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure provisioning workflows.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
- Prepare technical documentation, infrastructure sizing reports, and operational runbooks.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a technical team of 6+ resources.

? Good-to-Have Skills
- Argo CD / Flux (GitOps).
- Kustomize and Kubernetes Operators.
- CloudNativePG / K8ssandra.
- HashiCorp Vault, RBAC, TLS, and Kubernetes security.
- Air-gapped Kubernetes installations.
- Istio / Linkerd.
- CKA / CKAD / CKS certifications.

⚠️ Significant Candidate Criteria
- Strong hands-on experience with on-premises / bare-metal Kubernetes is mandatory.
- Cloud-only DevOps experience without on-prem Kubernetes administration will not be suitable.
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL and Apache Cassandra is required.
- Experience managing a team of 6+ resources is essential.
- Excellent customer communication and technical presentation skills are mandatory.
