Role Description The Senior Accountant at Prepster is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities.

The Senior

Accountant prepares financial statements, monitors cash flow, supports budgeting and forecasting, and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, support audits, and streamline accounting processes.

Accountant also mentors junior accounting staff, helps implement best practices,



and contributes to the continuous improvement of financial systems and reporting.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of core accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management to support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid skills in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
- Understanding of relevant tax laws, statutory compliance, and internal control frameworks applicable to Indian businesses.
- Ability to review, analyze, and interpret financial data with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and support management reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA/CPA or equivalent are an advantage.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, retail, or apparel sectors.
- Commitment to ethical financial practices and continuous improvement in processes and controls.
