Role Description This is a full-time, in office SDS Certified Medical Coder role based in Chennai. The SDS Certified Medical Coder will review and analyze clinical documentation to assign accurate medical codes for procedures, diagnoses, and services in accordance with established guidelines and payer requirements. The role involves validating coded data for completeness and compliance, working with health information and billing teams to resolve coding-related discrepancies, and ensuring timely submission of claims.

The coder will also stay current with updates to coding standards, payer policies,



and regulatory requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement in coding quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

- Coding proficiency with hands-on Coding Experience and strong Medical Coding skills
- Knowledge of Health Information Management practices and systems
- Solid understanding of Medical Terminology relevant to inpatient and outpatient services
- Relevant professional credentials such as RHIT or equivalent coding certification
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and commitment to coding accuracy and compliance
- Familiarity with ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems and payer-specific rules
- Experience with hospital SDS/OP coding workflows and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related field
