Role Description The Planning Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruppur, responsible for overseeing production planning and ensuring that orders are executed on time and in line with customer requirements. On a day-to-day basis, this role involves analyzing order forecasts, creating production plans, allocating capacity, and coordinating with sourcing, merchandising, and production teams to balance workloads.

Manager monitors lead times, tracks WIP (work in progress), and adjusts schedules to manage bottlenecks, ensure material availability, and maintain delivery commitments. The role includes reviewing performance reports, identifying process improvements, and communicating timelines, risks, and action plans to internal stakeholders and leadership.

Manager also supports continuous improvement of planning tools and methods to enhance efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Strong production planning and scheduling skills, with experience in capacity allocation and workflow optimization in apparel or textile manufacturing.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including use of spreadsheets, ERP or planning systems, and basic forecasting techniques.
- Knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and lead time management, including coordination with sourcing and merchandising teams.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to align factory operations with customer delivery needs.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on identifying bottlenecks and implementing practical solutions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple orders and priorities.
- Relevant experience in a planning or production management role within apparel, textiles, or a similar manufacturing setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, textiles, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
