Operational Engineering Team Lead Role

CORE REQUIREMENTS

- Education: Graduate Engineer – Mechanical / Electronics / Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
- Experience: 8+ years of relevant skilled experience in product design, development, maintaining & improving products.
- Global Exposure: Experience working in a multinational/global engineering environment, with exposure to global stakeholder management.
- Concept & Validation: Hands-on working experience in generating engineering concepts, evaluating options, prototyping, and verification & validation testing.
- Change & Documentation: Experience in delivering & managing engineering change, risk assessment & creating high-quality technical documentation.
- CAD Mastery: Strong experience in CAD tools like SolidWorks / Creo Elements / Direct, practical engineering judgment, and problem-solving capability.

GOOD TO HAVE

- Experience with FMEA / PFMEA / RCA & continuous improvement tools.
- Knowledge of Quality and regulatory standards like EMC directives, UL/CSA, RoHS, REACH, POPS, machinery directives.
- Knowledge of injection moulding, aluminum casting, machining, metrology, mould flow, motor construction, wiring and PCBA.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING





- Lead and develop Operational Engineers within the India Hub and coordinate closely with the UK Operational Engineering team.
- Lead and support technical projects that maintain, improve and enhance WMFTS products.
- Own engineering changes, risk assessments and formal change-control processes.
- Drive concept & design development, prototyping, testing, manufacturing engagement & problem solving.
- Lead risk management activities including FMEA / PFMEA and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide senior engineering support to supply sites on quality and compliance activities, including PPAP.
- Share knowledge, guide less experienced engineers and help set standards for technical excellence.

WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH

- Operational Engineering team, supply-site engineers, customer support, complaints and after-sales teams.
- Suppliers, tooling specialists and compliance bodies were required.
- UK-based Operational Engineering stakeholders and wider global engineering teams.
