Officer – Special Projects (CEO's Office)

Most entry roles hand you a laptop and a ticket queue. This one hands you a seat in the CEO's Office, real problems to solve, an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting and the freedom to solve them your way: with code, with data, or with sheer persistence.

You will report directly to the Chief of Staff to the CEO. You'll see how one of India's top technology institutions raises money, wins partners and makes decisions, from the room where it happens, not from a forwarded email.

Where: IIT Kanpur Development Foundation (IITKDF), IIT Kanpur

Reports to: Chief of Staff to the CEO

Type: Full-time

What you'll do

Special projects: Own projects end-to-end: scoping, data sourcing, tracking and handover. Spot risks early and show up with the fix.

Prospect research & data: Find IIT Kanpur's next big supporters, alumni and beyond, using alumni data, giving history, LinkedIn, rich lists and wealth reports. Turn it into profiles and briefs leadership acts on, and keep the prospect database clean, deduplicated and segmented.

Build & automate: Build dashboards, trackers and internal tools from scratch. If something is done by hand twice, you automate it.

Media monitoring: Run and improve our alumni and corporate media monitors,



the code-driven systems that track news on IITK alumni and partner companies and flag what leadership needs to know.

CEO's desk: Help shape strategy, build decks for leadership, and prepare communication documents, from briefing notes to stakeholder updates.

Skills you will ll bring (or pick up fast)

Data Analysis & Visualisation: Excel or Google Sheets, turning raw data into clear answers

Build: Building bots, apps and automations with Python and Google Apps Script, including APIs, scraping and dashboards

AI: Hands-on with LLMs to automate research and workflows

Research: Finding and verifying information from public sources,

LinkedIn and databases

Technical projects: Prior projects you have built are a bonus
