Role Description As a Maths Mentor at FACE Prep, the primary responsibility is to coach and support students in developing strong mathematical foundations for placement exams and technical assessments. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Karur, involving classroom teaching, doubt clarification sessions, and one-on-one guidance for learners. Day-to-day tasks include planning and delivering engaging lessons, creating practice problems and assignments, explaining quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning concepts, and tracking student progress.

The role also involves collaborating with other mentors to refine curriculum, conducting periodic test preparations and mock assessments,



and providing constructive feedback to help students improve their performance.

Mentors are expected to maintain a supportive learning environment and encourage students from diverse backgrounds to achieve their career goals.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in core mathematics topics relevant to placement exams (e.g., arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, quantitative aptitude, and logical reasoning).
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear, structured, and learner-friendly manner, both in group and individual settings.
- Experience in academic mentoring, coaching, or teaching, preferably with college students or early-career talent preparing for technical roles.
- Good communication skills in English (and local languages as applicable), with strong presentation and classroom management abilities.
- Comfort with using digital tools for learning, including online test platforms, presentation software, and learning management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; equivalent experience in teaching or training may also be considered.
- Ability to work in office in Karur on a full-time schedule, collaborate within a team, and adapt teaching methods to diverse learner needs.
- A learner-centric mindset, patience, and commitment to helping students succeed in placements and competitive assessments.
