Poddar Group Of Institutions
Jaipur
Organization: Poddar Group of Institutions
Department: Marketing, Branding & Admissions
Job Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan
Experience: 3–7 years (preferably in education, media, branding, or digital marketing)
Employment Type: Full-time
1. About Poddar Group of Institutions: Poddar Group of Institutions aims to strengthen its brand presence, connect meaningfully with prospective students and parents, and create a distinctive identity in the higher education sector. The organization seeks a dynamic marketing professional who can combine strategic thinking, creative storytelling, digital innovation, and data-driven execution to enhance institutional visibility and admissions growth.
2.
Role Overview: We are looking for an innovative and result-oriented marketing professional to lead branding initiatives, develop out-of-the-box marketing campaigns, and strengthen the market positioning of Poddar Group of Institutions. The candidate will be responsible for creating a modern, aspirational, and student-centric brand image through innovative offline and online marketing strategies. The role requires someone who can think beyond traditional admission advertisements and build meaningful brand experiences that attract students, engage parents, involve alumni, and establish trust among academic and industry stakeholders.
The key objective is to make Poddar Group of Institutions a recognizable, aspirational, and preferred education brand through impactful and creative marketing.
Key Responsibilities: -
A. Brand vision and positioning (core of the role)
Lead research with students, parents, alumni, faculty and competitors to understand how PGI is perceived today.
Define, with leadership, the brand positioning: what PGI stands for, for whom, and why it is different from other institutions.
Translate that positioning into a brand platform: core promise, personality, tone of voice, key messages and proof points.
Build the brand architecture so the group, each institution and future additions sit clearly under one story.
Revisit the positioning yearly with leadership; change it only on evidence, not on trends.
B. Brand governance
Create and own the brand book: visual identity, tone, messaging rules and approved claims.
Set up an approval process so all external communication across campuses is checked against the brand before release.
Run a quarterly audit of every touchpoint: website, social media, hoardings, prospectus, campus signage, events and admission counselling scripts.
Brief and hold agencies, designers and vendors to the brand standard.
C. Directing marketing toward the brand
Set the annual brand and marketing plan, with each campaign tied to the positioning.
Lead the marketing team.
Personal designing and execution of offline marketing activities.
Shift spend over time rom purely promotional ads toward work that builds reputation: student stories, outcomes, experiences.
D. Storytelling and experience
Identify PGI's real strengths (student achievements, faculty expertise, industry links, campus life) and turn them into a consistent library of brand stories.
Build programs that make the brand felt, not just seen.
Act as the internal storyteller: help campus heads, faculty and staff understand the brand and live it in how they speak to students and parents.
E. Admissions alignment
Work with the admissions team so admission messaging, counselling and follow-up reflect the brand.
Track how brand strength shows up in admissions: direct and referral enquiries, campus visits, conversion and student quality.
F. Reputation, PR and partnerships
Choose partnerships with industry, schools, start-ups and community bodies that strengthen the brand, and decline ones that dilute it.
Oversee online reputation and response to reviews and public feedback.
Area KPI
Brand perception Share of parents and students who describe PGI the way we intend
Brand perception Brand awareness and unprompted recall, and preference vs. key competitors in Jaipur
Brand consistency Share of touchpoints passing the brand audit
Brand pull Share of enquiries that are direct, organic or referral (not paid)
Digital community Growth in relevant social media audience and engagement (the right audience, not just follower count)
Brand initiatives New brand initiatives launched, their results against goals, and participation from students, parents, alumni and staff
Admissions Qualified enquiries and campus visits; conversion at each stage (enquiry to application, application to admission)
Efficiency Return on campaign spend and cost per qualified lead
Reputation Positive media coverage and online review ratings
Why this role exists: This is not a campaign or social media role. Today, marketing at PGI is a series of activities. This role turns it into one consistent story that builds a clear reputation year after year.
Brand Innovation Manager
Define, with leadership, the image PGI should own in five years.
Make sure every campaign, post, hoarding, event and admissions message moves toward that image.
Say no to work that is off-brand, even when it might bring short-term enquiries.
Success means a parent can describe what Poddar stands for in one sentence, and it matches what we intended.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, business, mass communication, advertising or a related field.
....... years in marketing or brand roles, with at least 3 years owning a brand's positioning or identity (not only running campaigns).
A portfolio showing a brand they shaped over time, with evidence of how its perception changed.
Experience in education, or in another trust-driven sector such as healthcare, financial services or premium consumer brands.
Strong strategic thinking, storytelling and presentation skills.
- Experience leading teams with hands-on experience in offline marketing like events and activations.
Ideal candidate: Someone who thinks in years, not campaigns. They can say no to an attractive idea because it does not fit the brand, and explain why in a way people accept. They understand how Indian parents and students choose an institution, and they are as comfortable with a research brief as with a creative review.
