Role Description The Lead Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad responsible for overseeing all estimation and take-off activities across multiple project types. This role involves reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, preparing detailed material and labor estimates, and validating quantities for countertops, cabinets and tiling and other building elements.

The Lead

Estimator will coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate, timely delivery of estimates. Daily tasks include using digital tools (such as CAD, measuring,



and take-off software), maintaining estimation standards and templates, and managing a small team of estimators to meet quality and turnaround targets. The role also includes contributing to process improvements, supporting cost optimization strategies, and providing technical guidance and training to the estimation team.

Qualifications

Strong estimation and quantity take-off skills for construction, architecture, and interior design projects, with experience interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

Proficiency with CAD and measuring software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, MeasureSquare) and familiarity with industry tools used for countertops, millwork, and related trades.

Solid analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, including attention to detail, accuracy in calculations, and capability to compare bids and cost options.

Experience leading or mentoring an estimation team, with skills in workload planning, quality review, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and project management.

Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal teams and global clients, including explicit documentation and reporting of estimates and assumptions.

Relevant experience in construction, fabrication, or architectural outsourcing; prior work with segments such as countertops, tiling, roofing, façades, or millwork is highly beneficial.
