Role Description The Lead Barista / Senior Barista is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This role involves leading brewing and beverage preparation at the Coffee Omakase Bar, including precise manual brewing methods, and consistent execution of coffee courses. The Lead Barista / Senior Barista will guide guests through the omakase experience, explain flavor profiles, and maintain a welcoming, professional atmosphere at the bar.

Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising bar operations, training and mentoring junior baristas, managing inventory for coffee and related supplies, and ensuring cleanliness and food safety standards.



This role also collaborates with the founding and operations team to refine service workflows, contribute to menu development, and maintain high standards of quality and hospitality.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong barista skills, including manual brewing techniques, and basic coffee equipment maintenance.
- Candidates should possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to create memorable guest experiences and manage front-of-house interactions.
- Candidates should possess clear, confident communication skills to explain coffee concepts, guide guests through courses, and coordinate with team members.
- Candidates should possess practical food preparation skills, with attention to hygiene, presentation, and coordination of light food pairings where required.
- Experience in specialty coffee or high-end café/restaurant environments, ideally in a senior or lead barista position.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, and stand for extended periods in a busy service environment.
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail, with the ability to coach and support junior team members.
- Formal training or certification in coffee, hospitality, or culinary arts is an advantage but not mandatory; passion for learning and craft is essential.
