About our client

Our client is an early-stage food-tech startup in Bengaluru, using technology to change how people buy everyday food staples. It is a small, fast-moving team where every hire has a direct impact on how the company grows.

The role

This is the company's first dedicated HR hire, working directly with the founder. It is not a desk-and-process HR job. You will handle hiring, people matters and day-to-day operations, and you will be the one who makes things happen without waiting to be told twice.

Who we are looking for

- Minimum 5 years of HR / HR-operations experience in startups (mandatory)
- MBA (HR), MSW (HRM), MA (HRM) or similar
- You can take a rough instruction, work out what is actually needed, and get it done without hand-holding
- You own problems, follow up without reminders, and do not let things fall through the cracks
- Comfortable juggling many small tasks in a day
- Transparent communicator in English; Kannada and Hindi are a plus
- Staffing-firm or operations experience in a startup is a strong plus

What you will do

- Run hiring end-to-end: write job posts, source candidates, screen,



schedule interviews, close offers
- Onboard new joiners: documents, induction, setup on day one
- Maintain attendance, leave and employee records, and send monthly payroll inputs on time
- Coordinate PF, ESI and other statutory compliance with the company's consultant
- Handle employee queries and issues, and escalate only what really needs the founder
- Support office administration and operations as the business needs
- Take on whatever the founder hands you, and close it

This role requires 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, based in Bengaluru, with around 25% travel as the business needs. If that does not suit you right now, please do not apply. We would rather be upfront than waste your time.
