Ayurveda, Naturopathy & Traditional Medicine

Location: Udupi, Karnataka

Work mode: Full time, on campus

Indicative compensation: Approximately ₹1.5 lakh per month

Reports to: Executive Director of the Udupi campus

We are seeking a research leader who can build a credible scientific portfolio and translate research into validated services, products, partnerships and funded opportunities.

Key responsibilities

- Develop the research strategy and portfolio across Ayurveda, naturopathy, traditional medicine and related fields.
- Strengthen study design, research methods, data quality, publications and researcher development.
- Lead ethics, participant safety, research governance and centre accreditation or certification readiness.
- Build collaborations with hospitals, universities, industry, funders and healthcare partners.
- Advance research through validation, intellectual property assessment, regulatory review and responsible market application.
- Develop proposals and partnerships that lead to funded research, pilots, licensing and other approved revenue streams.
- Lead the research team, budgets,



grants and project delivery.

Candidate profile
- Relevant postgraduate or doctoral qualification in pharmacy, biochemistry, Ayurveda, naturopathy or a related discipline, supported by research delivery.
- MSc Biochemistry candidates may be considered based on relevant research experience.
- Substantial leadership experience in a research centre, institute, hospital-linked research function or multidisciplinary setting.
- Robust research ethics, scientific judgement and quality-management capability.
- Market understanding, business development, presentation, negotiation and partnership skills.
- Availability to work full time from the Udupi campus.
