About the RoleKhaitan India Limited is seeking an accomplished, highly dynamic sales leader as General Manager – Sales (Eastern UP). This leadership role carries complete P&L;, revenue, and market expansion accountability for Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The primary mandate is aggressive distributor network building, driving primary and secondary sales, and expanding retail counter penetration across key urban centers, Tier-2/3 cities, and rural trade mandis.

Key Responsibilities

- Revenue &

• Volume Leadership: Own and deliver the regional top-line sales turnover, gross margins, and volume targets for Ceiling Fans, Geysers, and Home Appliances across Eastern UP.
- Distributor Network Architecture: Identify white spaces across districts, conduct commercial due diligence, and appoint viable super-stockists, direct distributors, and wholesale channel partners from the ground up.
- Secondary Sales &

- Market Extraction: Ensure high counter throughput, monitor secondary liquidation, drive distributor stock rotation, and maximize brand presence across multi-brand electrical retail counters.
- Commercial Governance &




- Credit Management: Maintain strict financial discipline regarding market credit, receivables collection, distributor ROI, billing integrity, and timely claims settlement.
- Team Leadership &
- Field Execution: Lead, mentor, and monitor a multi-tiered sales force—including Regional Managers, Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Territory Sales Officers (TSOs), and frontline sales personnel—ensuring rigorous adherence to beat plans and KPIs.
- Trade Schemes &
- Competitor Intelligence: Closely track trade schemes, pricing strategies, and dealer engagement programs of competitor brands; design and execute competitive localized trade promotions and display drives.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

- Experience: 12 to 16 years of consistent, proven channel sales management in consumer electricals, with substantial operational exposure to Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
- Industry Background: Core background strictly within Ceiling Fans, Water Heaters/Geysers, and Home Appliances is mandatory.
- Preferred Companies: Current or prior experience with established electrical and appliance brands such as Havells, Atomberg, Crompton, Polycab, Orient Electric, V-Guard, USHA, Bajaj Electricals, or direct industry peers.

Core Competencies:

- Proven, demonstrable track record in appointing, nurturing, and scaling large distributor and dealer networks.
- In-depth commercial and geographical familiarity with Eastern UP electrical trade corridors (Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Basti, Azamgarh, etc.).
- Native or qualified fluency in Hindi and English.
- High-caliber strategic negotiation, commercial acumen, and large-team leadership skills.
