Role Description The Equity Advisor role at Axis Direct is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata.

The Equity

Advisor will assist clients in understanding equity markets, recommend suitable investment and trading strategies, and help them build and manage equity portfolios aligned with their financial goals and risk appetite. The role involves conducting market research, tracking stock performance, and sharing timely insights on equity products, indices, and sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing high-quality customer service, executing client orders accurately, responding to queries,



and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.

The Equity

Advisor will collaborate with sales and operations teams, support client acquisition and retention, and contribute to overall business growth through informed and ethical advisory.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build trust, understand client needs, and offer clear, unbiased guidance.
- Sound knowledge of investments and equity markets, including basic understanding of products such as stocks, mutual funds, and derivatives.
- Foundational skills in finance, including market fundamentals, risk-return concepts, and financial planning principles.
- Sales and relationship management skills to support client acquisition, cross-selling, and long-term engagement.
- Exposure to portfolio management concepts, such as diversification, asset allocation, and performance tracking.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present complex market information in a simple, actionable manner.
- Comfort working with trading platforms, research tools, and MS Office; familiarity with equity research reports is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., NISM Series VII, Equity Derivatives) are preferred.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and investor protection.
