Design Engineer

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our IT Services team, where you will play a pivotal role in driving product innovation and operational efficiency. This position focuses on optimizing costs and ensuring the successful execution of complex engineering projects from concept to production. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in advanced design methodologies and manufacturing processes to deliver high-quality solutions while fostering collaboration across various departments.

Responsibilities

- Lead Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising product integrity.
- Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including the administration and execution of engineering change requests.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis and provide effective troubleshooting solutions for technical challenges encountered during design and production.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure products are optimized for efficient and scalable production.




- Facilitate seamless cross-functional coordination between engineering, manufacturing, and other stakeholder groups to align project goals.
- Utilize Solid Edge and AutoCAD software to create precise 3D models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Specialize in the design and engineering of concrete line pumps and boom pumps, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Minimum of 7 years of skilled experience in a relevant engineering capacity.
- Proven expertise in VAVE, cost optimization strategies, and product development.
- Solid background in engineering change management and root cause analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and a deep understanding of manufacturing constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams and functions.
- Advanced technical skills in Solid Edge and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
- Specific knowledge and experience in the design of concrete line pumps and boom pumps.
