Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dance Instructor role based at GD Goenka Public School in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar.

The Dance

Instructor will plan and conduct age-appropriate dance classes, teaching various styles and techniques while nurturing students’ creativity, confidence, and discipline. Daily responsibilities include designing lesson plans, preparing choreography for school events and performances, and collaborating with other staff to integrate dance into broader school activities. The role involves assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment,



and supporting rehearsals, showcases, and cultural programs. The instructor will also contribute to co-curricular planning and may assist with related music and movement activities as needed.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in Dance Instruction and Dance Education, with the ability to design structured, age-appropriate lessons.
- Demonstrated Teaching experience in a school or similar educational setting, with a focus on student engagement and classroom management.
- Proficiency in Dance performance and technique across one or more styles (e.g., classical, contemporary, folk, or Western forms).
- Basic to intermediate Music understanding to support rhythm, timing, and coordination in dance classes.
- Relevant diploma, certification, or degree in dance, performing arts, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered instruction.
- Ability to collaborate with academic and co-curricular staff and participate in school events and performances.
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in a formal or informal dance education environment is preferred.
