Role Description The Cybersecurity Analyst – VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing) is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. The analyst will conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on applications, networks, and infrastructure to identify security gaps and potential attack vectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing security tests, analyzing findings, preparing detailed reports, and recommending remediation actions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The role involves monitoring emerging threats, supporting incident investigation when required,



and collaborating with development and operations teams to strengthen security controls. The analyst will also assist in developing best practices, improving testing methodologies, and contributing to security awareness within the organization.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT).
- Proficiency in Application Security, including secure coding concepts, OWASP Top 10, and web/mobile application testing.
- Experience in Network Security, including firewall configurations, IDS/IPS, and network penetration testing.
- Skills in Malware Analysis and threat evaluation to understand attack techniques and indicators of compromise.
- Excellent Analytical Skills for interpreting test results, prioritizing risks, and providing clear, actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with common security tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Wireshark, Nessus or similar).
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, eJPT, or similar are advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to document findings clearly, communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving security threats, standards, and technologies.
