- About the Role We are looking for a Commercial Analyst who can monitor company expenses, analyse costs, and identify where the business is spending more than required. The candidate will be responsible for checking purchase costs, vendor pricing, material consumption, gross margins, and operational expenses. They should be able to identify cost differences, errors, and unnecessary expenses and coordinate with different teams to control costs and improve business profitability.
- Key Responsibilities
- Gross Margin (GM) Analysis

Compare the estimated profit margin with the actual profit margin. Identify reasons for profit or margin differences.

Suggest ways to improve profitability.

- Outsourcing Cost Control

Check whether outsourced work is charged as per approved rates. Verify whether the quantity purchased matches the actual requirement.

Identify unnecessary expenses or additional costs.

- Purchase Price Verification

Compare vendor quotations with actual purchase order (PO) prices. Check whether the purchasing team is following approved vendor rates.

Identify any price differences or additional charges.

- Inventory and Material Cost Analysis

Monitor how much raw material is being used for production. Compare actual material consumption with estimated requirements.

Identify material wastage,



excess usage, and cost differences.

- Rejection and Refund Analysis

Analyse product rejection cases and customer refunds. Identify why products are getting rejected or refunds are being processed.

Find recurring problems and help reduce financial losses.

- Commercial Process Audit

Check whether internal commercial and purchasing processes are being followed correctly. Identify mistakes, gaps, or deviations in existing processes.

Coordinate with respective teams to ensure corrective actions are taken.

- Key Skills Required Strong knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets. Good understanding of costing, pricing, and gross margin. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Ability to identify cost differences, errors, and financial leakages. Good problem-solving and attention to detail. Solid coordination and follow-up skills. Ability to work with large volumes of data. Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred Experience 2–5 years of experience in Commercial, Costing, Procurement, Finance, MIS, or Supply Chain. Experience in cost analysis, purchase price verification, vendor management, or business operations. Knowledge of ERP, inventory management, or procurement software is an added advantage
