- Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Underwriter role based in Gurugram.
- Evaluate and underwrite property, engineering, and miscellaneous proposals, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and make informed decisions on coverage and pricing.
- Review and analyze client information, financial statements,



and loss histories to determine insurability and pricing.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to provide accurate and competitive underwriting.
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to understand their unique needs and provide tailored insurance solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a positive and qualified image.
- Participate in the development and implementation of underwriting strategies and initiatives to drive business growth.
- Provide support and guidance to junior underwriters, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a high standard of ethical conduct.
- Continuously improve underwriting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Experience Requirement

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting, with a focus on property, engineering, and miscellaneous lines.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, including Marine and Liability, is an advantage.
