With an in-house manufacturing facility at Edayar, along with Dtale Decor, Dtale Home and Dtale Modern divisions, we serve customers across Kerala and Bangalore.

As we continue to expand our business, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our overall business operations, strengthen operational efficiency and drive sustainable organisational growth.

Position OverviewThe Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless coordination between manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, showrooms, sales support and administrative functions.

The ideal candidate should be a strong operational leader with extensive experience in manufacturing and multi-location business management, capable of translating business objectives into measurable operational results.

Key Responsibilities1. Manufacturing & Production Management

- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations and production planning.
- Improve production capacity, productivity and operational efficiency.
- Monitor production schedules, manpower utilisation and resource allocation.
- Minimise material wastage, production costs and manufacturing delays.

2. Quality Assurance & Process Control

- Establish and implement quality standards across manufacturing operations.
- Monitor product quality at every stage of production.
- Introduce quality inspection systems and corrective action procedures.
- Ensure consistency in product quality and customer satisfaction.

3. Supply Chain & Procurement Management

- Lead procurement, vendor management and material planning.
- Ensure effective inventory and warehouse management.
- Optimise purchasing costs and supplier performance.
- Ensure timely material availability and customer deliveries.

4. Retail & Business Operations





- Oversee operational performance across all showrooms and business divisions.
- Ensure effective coordination between sales, design, production and installation teams.
- Improve customer experience, service standards and after-sales support.
- Monitor operational performance across Kochi and Bangalore locations.

5. Financial & Cost Management

- Develop and monitor operational budgets and expenditure.
- Drive cost optimisation and profitability improvement.
- Monitor operational expenses, working capital and resource utilisation.
- Prepare and review periodic management reports and operational MIS.

6. People & Organisational Management

- Lead, mentor and develop department heads and operational managers.
- Drive manpower planning, recruitment and workforce productivity.
- Establish performance evaluation systems and accountability.
- Build a performance-driven and disciplined organisational culture.

7. Systems, SOPs & Operational Excellence

- Develop, implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure effective ERP/SAP implementation and utilisation.
- Establish measurable KPIs and performance dashboards.
- Identify operational gaps and continuously improve business processes.

8. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

- Work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team.
- Translate organisational goals into operational strategies and action plans.
- Drive cross-functional coordination and execution.
- Present periodic operational performance reviews and improvement plans to management.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering.




- MBA in Operations Management or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior operations leadership position such as COO, Head of Operations, General Manager – Operations or equivalent.
- Proven experience in furniture manufacturing, interior solutions, modular furniture or other make-to-order manufacturing industries.
- Experience managing multiple operational locations, including factories, warehouses and retail/showroom operations.
- Demonstrated experience leading large teams of 80+ employees.
- Solid knowledge of production planning, supply chain, procurement, inventory and quality management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of MIS, KPI monitoring, budgeting and cost control.
