Role Description The Civil Drafter will be responsible for preparing detailed civil and structural drawings and documentation to support engineering and construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating plans, sections, and layouts in CAD software, interpreting engineering sketches and specifications, and ensuring drawings comply with relevant standards and codes. The role involves coordinating with civil and structural engineers, incorporating design changes,



and maintaining accurate drawing records and revisions.

The Civil

Drafter will also assist in quantity take-offs, simple design checks, and preparation of drawings for approvals and construction. This is a full-time, in office role based in Kochi, requiring close collaboration with project teams and timely delivery of drafting outputs.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Civil Engineering Drafting and Engineering Drawings for industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools commonly used in civil and structural design.
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering Design principles, standards, and basic calculations relevant to drafting work.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and ability to follow engineering instructions and standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
- Ability to manage multiple drawing assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt to project-specific requirements.
- Prior experience in consultancy or construction environments and familiarity with local codes and practices is an advantage.
