Company Description MITTI Café is a non-profit organization that creates livelihoods and experiential training opportunities for adults with physical, intellectual, and psychiatric disabilities. Operating over 40 cafes in locations such as the Supreme Court, major airports, corporates, colleges, and malls, MITTI Café’s teams have served more than 10 million meals and beverages. The organization runs experiential training programs that include food, logistics, housing, and stipends to prepare adults with disabilities for meaningful employment.

Role Description The Catering Event Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for managing end-to-end catering operations for events hosted at MITTI Café locations and external venues. This role includes planning and coordinating events, designing catering proposals, and liaising with clients to understand requirements, budgets, and guest needs.

The Catering Event

Manager oversees food service logistics, staffing, supplies, and vendor coordination to ensure timely preparation, high-quality presentation, and smooth delivery of meals and beverages. Day-to-day tasks involve supervising event setup and teardown, monitoring service standards,



addressing guest feedback, and ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and organizational policies. The role also includes supporting sales initiatives, building long-term client relationships, and collaborating with MITTI Café teams to create inclusive, impactful guest experiences.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills, including client communication, relationship management, and a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Candidates should possess Event Planning and Event Management skills to design, coordinate, and execute catering events from concept to completion.
- Candidates should possess Catering Sales skills to prepare proposals, negotiate packages, and support revenue growth for catering services.
- Candidates should possess Food Service skills, including basic understanding of menu planning, food safety, hygiene standards, and service workflows.
- Relevant experience in hospitality, catering, events, or restaurant operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate with diverse teams, and support an inclusive workplace aligned with MITTI Café’s social impact mission.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field is beneficial.
