Role Description The Assistant Surgeon will support senior surgeons in providing high-quality surgical care to patients with colorectal and related conditions, including constipation, piles, and hernia. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in outpatient evaluations, pre-operative assessments, intra-operative procedures, and post-operative follow-up under the supervision of senior surgical staff. The role involves preparing patients and operating rooms, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, maintaining accurate medical records, and collaborating closely with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.

The Assistant

Surgeon will participate in case discussions, continuous clinical learning, and implementation of evidence-based practices aligned with the clinic’s standards. This is a full-time,



in office role based at Healing Hands Clinic in Bengaluru South.

Qualifications

- Medical degree BAMS MS from a recognized institution, with completed surgical residency or equivalent training; additional specialization in general or colorectal surgery and Proctology Surgery is an advantage.
- Valid medical license and registration with the appropriate medical council, with a clean professional record and adherence to ethical clinical practice.
- Demonstrated experience assisting in surgical procedures, including pre- and post-operative patient management, preferably in colorectal or gastrointestinal surgery.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, including history taking, physical examination, interpretation of diagnostic tests, and formulation of safe treatment plansand OPD.
- Ability to work effectively in an operating room environment, following sterile techniques, safety protocols, and standardized surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to counsel patients and families, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain clear documentation.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, attention to detail, and a calm, composed approach in high-pressure clinical situations.
- Willingness to work full time on-site in Bengaluru South, with flexibility for rotational shifts or extended hours based on clinical needs.
- Familiarity with modern medical technologies and electronic health records; openness to ongoing training and continuing medical education.
- Experience in ISO-certified or quality-accredited.
