Role Description The Assistant Professor – Pharmaceutics (On Contract) will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in pharmaceutics to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The role includes designing and updating course materials, supervising laboratory work, guiding student projects and dissertations, and mentoring students in academic and professional development. The faculty member will engage in research activities, contribute to publications, seek research funding where appropriate, and participate in departmental and university-level academic initiatives.

Additional responsibilities include involvement in curriculum development, student evaluation, academic advising, and participation in seminars, workshops,



and committees as required. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mohali district.

Qualifications

- Advanced academic training in Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Sciences, preferably with a Ph.D. or enrolled in a doctoral program; a relevant Master’s degree is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in formulation development, drug delivery systems, and related pharmaceutical technologies, with the ability to teach and supervise laboratory work.
- Proven research aptitude, including experience in experimental design, data analysis, scholarly writing, and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong teaching capabilities, including lesson planning, use of up-to-date pedagogical tools, student assessment, and the ability to facilitate interactive, inclusive learning environments.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, guide students, and contribute to departmental initiatives and academic committees.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines, quality assurance practices, and ethical standards in pharmaceutical education and research.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, engagement with current trends in pharmaceutics, and participation in conferences, workshops, and academic networks.
- Ability to work full time on-site in the Mohali district and contribute positively to the university’s culture of innovation, diversity, and academic excellence.
