About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Content Writer who can turn banking product briefs into email communication that is explicit, engaging and easy to act on.

You will write promotional, transactional and journey emailers across a brand’s products and services, adapting your writing to different audiences while maintaining accuracy and a consistent brand voice.

What you’ll do

- Write subject lines, preheaders, headlines, body copy and calls to action.
- Translate product features and client-approved reasons to buy into relevant customer benefits.
- Develop promotional emailers for product launches, offers, cross-sell and upsell briefs.
- Write clear, useful transactional and service communication based on approved requirements.
- Create journey email content for client-defined milestones, occasions and lifecycle triggers.
- Adapt tone and messaging for different banking products and audiences, including premium customers.
- Work with the CRM Strategist to develop the communication approach and message hierarchy.




- Collaborate with designers to ensure copy and layout work well together, particularly on mobile.
- Incorporate approved terms, eligibility conditions and mandatory disclosures accurately.
- Proofread every version and resolve ambiguous or contradictory inputs before finalisation.
- Develop alternative subject lines or messaging routes when testing is included in the brief.

What we’re looking for

- Strong experience in email copywriting, CRM communication, direct response or digital copy.
- A portfolio demonstrating concise writing, strong headlines and clear calls to action.
- The ability to explain complex products in simple language.
- Excellent editing, proofreading and attention to detail.
- Comfort working across multiple briefs and incorporating structured client feedback.
- An understanding of how copy fits within an email’s visual hierarchy.
- Banking or financial services experience would be an advantage.
