EMBEDDED SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LEAD ROLE

CORE REQUIREMENTS

- Education: Graduate Engineer – Electronics / Computer Science / Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant professional experience in both embedded software & application development.
- Global Exposure: Experience working in a multinational/global engineering environment, with exposure to global stakeholder management.
- Architecture & Microcontrollers: Experience working on architecture, development & debugging embedded software in C++ for ARM Cortex-M/A.
- Problem Solving: Robust analytical, problem-solving & critical-thinking skills.
- Quality Coding Practices: Strong fundamentals in well-architected & tested code, including practices such as TDD.

GOOD TO HAVE

- C# / Python / JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Linux / development environment.
- Working practice in Agile methodology, using TDD framework & JIRA tool.
- Working experience with the Cucumber JS framework & Google Test would be an added advantage.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

- Lead our teams of developers & testers specialising in both embedded & application software, contributing to the design, implementation, & maintenance of software solutions.
- Design, code, test,



& debug software solutions for embedded & application software.
- Develop embedded software involving microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, motor control & communications.
- Develop application software, including user interfaces, application logic, backend systems, desktop & CLI solutions.
- Optimise code for performance, memory usage & efficiency & resolve software bottlenecks.
- Work with business analysts, product managers & QA teams & participate in code reviews.
- Develop unit, integration & system tests & collaborate with QA teams to address defects.
- Create & maintain design, API & code documentation.

- UK- & India-based Software Team members.
- Multi-functional teams comprising Engineers, Product Managers, Marketers, Supply Chain, Quality & Factory representatives.
- External stakeholders such as compliance bodies, test houses & suppliers, with senior support.
